- What is the role of a good narrative? What is the role of narrative in marketing/branding?
- How do you craft a compelling brand story? Techniques to evoke emotion and engagement.
- Using data to inform your storytelling technique
Activities: Creating basic brand narrative for a small business.
- What is a brand’s tone of voice? How do you use this information to adapt to a client’s needs?
- How do you ensure consistency in tone and messaging across platforms? Understanding omnichannel marketing.
- The role of AI in current copywriting ideation. Usefulness and limitations of AI.
Activities: Matching the tone and style in your own writing through practical exercises
- The importance of editing and refining your own work
- Common copywriting mistakes to avoid
- Using AI and other tools and techniques for checking work and self-editing.
Activities: Edit and improve some poorly written copy. Explaining the outline for the final project.
- Working with clients, interpreting briefs, managing feedback and revisions
- How to start building your first copywriting portfolio. Tips and advice for finding opportunities either as a freelancer or in-house.
- Personal branding advice and interview technique.
Activities: Unpacking a mock client brief. Further preparation for the final session.
- Presenting your real-world project, created from scratch. A comprehensive copywriting project including campaign copy for different platforms and a clearly defined audience.
- Q&A session and closing remarks. Where to go from here.

Christina Carè
Copywriter, Digital strategist
Christina is an experienced copywriter, digital strategist, editor, and creative writing teacher based in London. With almost 9 years of professional experience, she has written across various mediums including feature and article writing, website copy, social media, video and audio scripts, email campaigns, and more. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway and a qualification in Journalism from Birkbeck, and currently teaches part-time for the writer development charity Spread the Word.
Her career includes work with major brands like Google, Spotlight, and publications such as TechRadar, Forbes, and Thrive Global.
